TLDFST

Victory at the Terence Lewis Dance Foundation Scholarship TrustTLDFST

23rd July 2010 Mumbai saw the culmination of three years of rigorous training and trials in dance and discipline for the nine students of TLDFST. A jam packed auditorium gave a standing ovation to a stunning and riveting performance that was definitely a first of its kind! The graduates of the pioneer batch put to test their prowess by paring down to the barest minimum jazz that a performance can have. No elaborate costumes, synchronized group dance, barely enough music to dance to! These dancers danced solo to narrate a spate of stories that were interwoven with each other.

These 22 exceptionally talented young dancers, 3 years of intensive training, guidance and preparation with some of the world’s finest teachers and creativity at its peak… showed one of the best performances at the St. Andrews Auditorium!

The Terence Lewis Dance Foundation Scholarship TrustTLDFST was proud to present its third 3-year Diploma graduation showing with the Batch of 2007-2010. After 2 highly successful productions- the 1st titled Out of the Box, and the 2nd ‘After 8’, and this time Catch 22 took the contemporary form to the next level.

An excited Terence Lewis who was very proud of the catch 22’s performances appealed to all the youth of today that “Dance should not considered as a hobby but rather as a career” he was emotionally charged to watch his students deliver this amazing show.

Apart from Terence Lewis and his Company members – Michel asanovas – a teacher and choreographer of international repute from France was specially invited to add few words for this batch and actively contribute towards the synthesis of the show.

It was a exciting environment with a lot of recognized guests present for the event including, Urvashi Dholakia, Dolly Thakur, Roshan Abbas, Taraana, Akshay Kapoor, Luke Kenny and Arzan Khambhatta were there to cheer the dancers. The evening ended on a high note with Terence Lewis conferring the graduates with their hard earned degrees and hats, amidst claps!
